    Testimonials

“I am writing this letter to thank you for doing such an expert job installing our Phalanx Gutter Guards. After installing three different types of gutter guards over the past 20 years, my wife and I were almost ready to give up on ever finding guards that would work for us. It's now been three years and the gutter guards you recommended are still working fine. Not even the squirrels can get into our gutters, which use to be a major problem for us.

    Importance of Gutters

The purpose of rain gutters is to channel water from the roof to the downspouts and away from your home, ideally through an underground drainage system. The size of your roof and the volume of rain that it can collect determines the size of the gutters, downspouts, and drainage pipes that can adequately accomplish this goal. An inch of rain on a 1,000 square foot roof can yield 625 gallons of water.

Therefore, a faulty gutter system can result in hundreds of gallons of water being dumped directly onto the ground next to the foundation of a house. This can cause water to leak through the foundation wall and create problems in the basement or crawlspace. Because termites need water to reproduce and thrive, gutters that dump excess water near the house encourage termite infestation. Problem gutters or gutter installed incorrectly can also cause damage to your home’s structural integrity by allowing water to damage the fascia, soffit, or wood framing of the house.
